Baku Eurasia University hosted this morning, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the opening of the 11th International Conference, organized in cooperation with Scholar Institution for Conferences, Studies, and Research, under the theme:
“Convergence of Applied Sciences and Humanities through Artificial Intelligence: Multidisciplinary Pathways Toward Innovation.”

The opening ceremony began with the performance of the Azerbaijani and Iraqi national anthems, reflecting the depth of cultural and academic relations between the two countries. This was followed by a traditional Azerbaijani musical performance presented by a group of university students, adding a distinctive artistic touch to the event.

The President of Baku Eurasia University then delivered an opening speech, welcoming the participants and expressing his pleasure at the presence of researchers from different countries. He emphasized the fruitful cooperation with Scholar Institution in organizing this important academic event, which unites applied and human sciences within a shared framework of integration and innovation.

Next, the President of Scholar Institution delivered a speech expressing his gratitude to Baku Eurasia University for its great efforts in hosting and organizing the conference. He gave special recognition to the University President, the Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Sevada, and the Chair of the Preparatory Committee, Dr. Alwiya Huseynova, for their exceptional dedication and continuous coordination that contributed significantly to the success of the preparations and organization.

Following that, Dr. Sevada spoke about the challenges and difficulties faced by the organizing team during the preparation stages, affirming that teamwork and mutual collaboration between the university and Scholar Institution were the key elements behind the successful realization of this international conference.

Then, Dr. Alwiya Huseynova, Chair of the Preparatory Committee, delivered a welcoming speech in which she outlined the stages of preparation and presented an overview of the conference program, emphasizing its role in promoting academic exchange and strengthening scientific research cooperation.

During the opening session, Dr. Ahmed Saddam, the keynote speaker of the conference, presented a research paper titled “The Future Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Economic Relations between Iraq and Azerbaijan”, highlighting the potential of AI technologies to enhance economic collaboration between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Executive Director of Scholar Institution presented commemorative shields to the President of Baku Eurasia University, Dr. Sevada, and Dr. Alwiya Huseynova, in appreciation of their outstanding efforts and contributions to the success of the conference.

The conference will continue over two days with the participation of 85 researchers from 10 countries, both in-person and online, featuring scientific sessions that explore the latest developments in artificial intelligence and the integration between applied and human sciences.
