Dr. Mohamad Musa is an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar. He holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. He has extensive academic experience, having previously served as an Assistant Professor at Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia, Canada, and as a lecturer at the University of Windsor and St. Clair College in Ontario. His research interests focus on studying perceptions of mental illness and mental health education within Arab communities in the Middle East, as well as the mental health of Arab immigrants and refugees in North America. Dr. Musa has a decade of practical experience in management, supervision, and clinical therapy. His fieldwork includes supervising clinical work, providing psychological counseling, crisis management and intervention, preventing sexual violence, and advocating for the rights of marginalized groups. He has worked in various institutions, including higher education institutions, hospitals, youth health centers, and juvenile justice organizations in Ontario and Nova Scotia, Canada.
