Abstract

This research explores how Iraqi minorities express their cultural and national identities through their narratives، influenced by threats and displacement. These narratives glorify religious rituals and demonstrate a longing for the homeland. Cultural identity is defined as a set of distinctive cultural traits of a human group. In a diverse Iraq، popular culture is not pure but rather hybridized. Religion is a fundamental pillar of cultural identity in Arab society. National identity، on the other hand، appears as a melting pot that gathers various identities and affiliations. It is defined as a socio-cultural and historical product that connects people. Members of minorities، especially those who have been displaced، declare their attachment to their homeland as a memory and their roots.
