Abstract

An international organization is a specific body formed according to an agreement between states on its formation, in order to achieve a set of goals, granting it, for that purpose, and guarantee the autonomy to exercise powers and competencies that the agreement tends to clarify and specify.

In light of these goals and principles of the international organization, this entails a responsibility towards the member states and duties placed upon them, in their international activities and actions in order to maintain international peace and security, and the recommendations and UN resolutions issued by that organization, we discuss the strength of its obligation to confront those states.

Our research revolves around the international activity of the countries of the region, and how the international organization plays an effective role in the Middle East conflicts. We discuss the intervention of the United Nations and its role in maintaining international peace and security or the threats that may occur from this or that country, through the organization’s issued decisions or decisions made by The UN Security Council, and the extent of countries' commitment to those UN resolutions.
