Abstract
Outer space is a common domain of all humanity, and international law has paid special attention to it since the advent of the space age in the mid-twentieth century. Given the increasing number of space activities and their multiplicity, the need for a legal framework to regulate these activities and ensure their peaceful use has emerged. International rules aim to prevent the militarization of space and achieve justice in the exploitation of its resources. This paper reviews the legal framework governing outer space and the most prominent contemporary challenges facing it.
