The impact of inspirational leadership in enhancing job creativity among workers in the Sultanate of Oman - Case study of the Diwan of Royal Court -

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of practicing inspirational leadership on enhancing job creativity among employees at the Royal Court, as well as to understand the current practice of inspirational leadership there and measure the level of job creativity among its employees. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher relied on the analytical descriptive method to analyze the data, and used an electronic questionnaire as a tool for data collection. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed via email to respondents, and 196 valid questionnaires were obtained for statistical analysis. The SPSS statistical analysis software was used to analyze the data using statistical methods suitable for the study's hypotheses, including descriptive analysis to test the dimensions of inspirational leadership and multiple regression. One of the main findings of the study is that a manager's self-confidence has a strong positive effect on job creativity. Also, employee empowerment impacts employees' creativity and their ability to freely express their ideas at the Royal Court. The results showed that change management has the highest effect on job creativity, indicating the institution's capacity to adapt to change. With the changes, creativity in the Sultan's Court Diwan is being enhanced, and the results showed that strategic direction has a significant positive impact on job creativity, showing that having a clear vision motivates employees to be creative in the Sultan's Court Diwan. Based on the results, the study concluded by suggesting some recommendations, including developing training programs focused on cultivating inspiring leadership, characterized by self-confidence, strategic thinking, the ability to manage change, and empowering employees.
