Abstract
This research aims to study the civil responsibility of artificial intelligence, a modern and complex issue that raises many legal and philosophical questions. With the rapid development of AI systems and our increasing reliance on them in various aspects of life, it has become essential to determine how to deal with the damage that these systems may cause.
This research aims to study the civil responsibility of artificial intelligence, a modern and complex issue that raises many legal and philosophical questions. With the rapid development of AI systems and our increasing reliance on them in various aspects of life, it has become essential to determine how to deal with the damage that these systems may cause.
The research discusses three main types of applicable civil responsibility. Manufacturer's Responsibility: This is the most common type of responsibility, where the manufacturer or programmer of an AI system can be held responsible for damage resulting from defects in design, production, or programming. User's Responsibility: The user can be held liable in cases of misuse of the system or failure to comply with operating instructions, resulting in damage. AI as an Independent Entity: This is the most controversial aspect, as it considers the possibility of granting AI a legal personality. Limited, allowing for direct responsibility for its actions. The research highlights the current challenges facing legal systems in addressing these issues, such as the difficulty of proving a causal link between AI actions and harm and identifying the true perpetrator. New legal rules must be developed that are appropriate to the specific nature of AI systems, and specific legislation must be enacted to regulate their use.
