The Role of Intellectual Capital in Developing Performance in Jordanian Commercial Banks

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of intellectual capital and its role in developing performance. The study population consisted of workers in the Jordanian commercial banks. The sample of the study was (375) workers. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach. To achieve the objectives of the study and test its hypotheses, a questionnaire was developed to collect data from the study population. It was analyzed using the SPSS program. Statistical methods such as arithmetic mean, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression were used.
The study results show that there is an impact of intellectual capital in terms of its combined dimensions (human capital, structural capital, relational capital) in developing performance in Jordanian commercial banks.
The study reached several recommendations, the most important of which are: relying on the method of intellectual capital in managing banks to develop performance in Jordanian commercial banks, and the need for bank management to deal with employees with distinguished capabilities on the basis of trust, and implementing new ideas because of its impact on employee satisfaction and thus increasing affiliation and loyalty toward their organization.
